Indiana State Kratom Laws

Kratom is currently illegal in Indiana.

Indiana SB0305 incorrectly identifies Kratom as a synthetic drug and thus scheduled Kratom as part of synthetic controlled substances legislation.

House Bill 1500, authored by Rep. Alan Morrison, R-Terre Haute, would permit the sale of Kratom. It is in progression as of 2/22/2023.

Advocacy and education efforts are underway with the regulators and legislators of jurisdiction.

If you would like to help protect kratom please look into the American Kratom Association. The AKA has organized the American Kratom Protectors. They are a national grassroots organization that will help lead the advocacy efforts as we fight state bans, share correct information about kratom, and push passage of state and federal Kratom Consumer Protection Acts.
