Kratom Story of New Jersey Pharmacist, Dr. Gerald Wall

Dr. Gerald Wall has been a pharmacist for 45 years and recently retired.

The New Jersey pharmacist discovered kratom while searching for a holistic and

alternative cure for chronic fatigue and a near lifetime of severe pain in his legs. As

a pharmacist, he had access to all kinds of pain pharmaceuticals, and like many,

didn’t care for their side effects. With kratom, there are no negative side effects or

responses.

A student of alternative medicines for 30 years, Dr. Wall found out about kratom

on the Internet. After ordering initial supplies, as a pharmacist, he tinkered with

quality and dosage to gain the proper effect. He found that using kratom, he could

exercise vigorously, move with no pain, and enjoyed increased energy and stamina.

As for kratom’s benefit to patients and pharmacy customers, he saw firsthand how

some on pain control drugs were treated like lepers. Doctors and pharmacists must

now screen for addicts.* They are all having second thoughts. Pharmacists are

afraid to fill certain prescriptions. Doctors are afraid of losing their licenses. They

are not writing class two drug prescriptions. According to Dr. Wall, “they’re just

not doing it.” Hospitals are running scared too. Pharmacists say, “Why do I need to

get involved? As a result, patients are “shopping” both doctors and pharmacies.

Dr. Wall suggests kratom as an alternative to his patients and customers. . He talks

over dosage and points them in the right direction for information on kratom to

enable them to best help themselves.

Dr. Wall said an unintended consequence of strict DEA and FDA standards is that

they have forced patients to turn to street drugs. And doctors and pharmacists are

scared to prescribe. In light of all of this, kratom has helped so many.

Dr. Wall was direct on this point: He fears kratom is in danger of being banned in

New Jersey, in part because it is sold in head shops. He called it, “throwing the

baby out with the bathwater.” He also mentioned that there is a state representative

going overboard to ban it.

* Dr. Wall feels that anesthesiologists are the only doctors qualified to prescribe

and regulate dosage of pain control drugs.
