Talladega County Official Kratom Notice

This letter serves as official notice to all retail stores within Talladega County.

If you have any products containing Mitragyne Speciosa Korth (better known as Kratom) other streets names: (Thang, Kakuam, Thom, Ketum, Biak) and/or other items that are labeled as incense that states on the Package **NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION** you are ordered to remove these items from your stores within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in the seizure of these items and/or arrest and prosecution of said managers and/or owners under Alabama Criminal Code 13A-12-212 and/or 13A-12-211.

You are also ordered to remove any and all drug paraphernalia from your store in accordance to Alabama Criminal Code 13A-12-260. Definition of drug paraphernalia: “drug paraphernalia” means all equipment, products and materials of any kind with are used, intended for use, or designed for use, in planting propagation, cultivating, growing, harvesting, manufacturing, compounding, converting, producing, processing, preparing, testing analyzing, packaging, repackaging, storing, containing, concealing, injecting, ingesting, inhaling or otherwise introducing into the human body a controlled substance in violation for the controlled substances laws of this state.

This includes but not limited to bongs, scales, grinders, water pipes, chamber pipes, ceramic pipes, glass hollow tubes less than 3/4 inch in diameter, shorter than 12 inches in length and are not sealed with glass at both ends.
