The FDA has seized 25,000 pounds of kratom from Rosefield Management in Van Nuys, California. The seizure took place because Rosefield’s company “Wholesale Shamanic Herbs promoted kratom on its website with claims that the product is intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of disease.”
