For those of you not familiar with the UNPA (United Natural Products Alliance), they describe themselves as “an international association of forward-looking companies dedicated to providing consumers with natural health products of superior quality, benefit and reliability.” In their most recent memo they declared that “UNPA’s Executive Committee has approved a new condition of UNPA membership as follows: UNPA members will not engage in the sale, distribution or marketing of any products that contain kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) for human use or consumption.” Read the whole memo here and contact the UNPA if you do not agree with their new decision.
