URGENT: SIGNING THE CONGRESSIONAL DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER FOR KRATOM
Do you consider yourself an upstanding citizen? Will you take action when the time is right? Do you care about your nation’s well-being? Your own well-being.
There are moments in time when if we don’t speak up then no one else will. Last year was that time, and unfortunately now is also that time.
Due to the efforts of the Botanical Educational Alliance and a relationship with congressman David Brat of Virginia we were able to urge him to write a Dear Colleague Letter and gain support of other congressional representatives.
As a result, they’ve provided a succinct and accurate letter in defense of kratom for Congress to sign by Wednesday December 20th 2017. This letter will go straight to the FDA and will hold significant influence within the federal agency.
If you recall last year when the DEA attempted to ban kratom, there were 3 letters circulating that resulted in 51 House Rep and 11 Senators signatures. This played a tremendous role in affecting the DEA’s decision to rescind their scheduling attempt. We want to replicate that success again.
As you are an American citizen that consumes kratom, we please urge you utilize your civic duty by SHARING this message and calling or writing your Congressmen/Congresswomen to sign the “Dear Colleague Letter from Congressman Brat and Polis”.
